Brochure	Description
Medical Brochure - General Capabilities	This program is offered to healthcare companies that need technical credentials and continuing education credits for their employees. Courses include medical billing, coding and transcription.
Medical Billing	This program prepares participants for employment as entry-level medical billers in a physician practice, hospital or clinic. Program components include Medical Terminology, Essentials of Anatomy, Ethics & Confidentiality Seminar, Coding Overview, Reimbursement, Electronic Billing Practicum and Hospital Billing Overview.
Medical Coding	This program prepares participants for employment as entry-level medical coders, Certified Professional coders, or Certified Coding specialists. Program components include Medical Terminology, Essentials of Anatomy, Ethics & Confidentiality Seminar, Introduction to Medical Coding, AAPC Professional Medical Coding, Certified Coding Specialists Prep Course, and Certified Professional Coder—Hospital Review Class.
Medical Transcription	This program prepares participants for employment as medical transcriptionists interested in home-based as well as professional transcription services and physician practices. Program components include Medical Terminology, Essentials of Anatomy, Ethics & Confidentiality Seminar, and Transcription Practicum.
EKG/Phlebotomy Brochure	EKG technicians administers the EKG for interpretation and diagnosis by the physician. Their duties include preparing the patient, performing the procedure and ensuring the machine functions properly. The EKG technician may also assist with stress tests, (both Pharmacological and Exercise), and Holter monitoring. This course also provides instruction in the skills needed for the proper collection of blood and other specimens used for diagnostic testing. Emphasis is on ethics, legalities, medical terminology, safety and universal precautions, health care delivery systems, patient relations, anatomy and physiology, and specimen collection. Certification is provided by the National Healthcareer Association.170 instructional hours and (2) 40 hour internships.
